Dr. French A. Jones currently is an Associate Professor at Dallas Theological Seminary in the Biblical Counseling Department. He is in his fifteenth year on the faculty having directed the program for eight years. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, he has maintained an active private counseling practice for individual adults.
Dr. Jones grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University. After five years on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, Dr. Jones attended Dallas Theological Seminary and received his Master of Theology degree. In 1982, he joined the pastoral staff at Northwest Bible Church and began his doctoral work at the University of North Texas. In 1988, he graduated Doctor of Philosophy with a major in Counselor Education and Marriage Counseling.
Dr. Jones has been married to his wife, Amy, for over thirty years. He enjoys hiking, travel, entertaining guests with Amy in their home, and is an avid golfer.
